Santa Cruz 5010 Carbon CC Frame

Developed using what they learned from Bronson, the comparatively lower bottom bracket height, shorter chainstays and 125mm of VPP™ travel give 5010 a snappy, nimble, ride. It’s right at home just about anywhere, and it’s become a bike that seasoned riders turn to as a “quiver of one.” Its 68-degree head angle, 5lb frame weight, and the firm pedaling platform afforded by the VPP suspension design add climbing agility into the equation, making 5010 the tool for that backcountry mission you’ve been planning.

This CC-level carbon frame is every bit as stiff and strong as the C-level frame, but weighs about 280 grams less, due to the use of some lighter, stronger, and more expensive carbon fiber. Using this material in key places allowed us to use less material overall, which is what shaves off more than half a pound from the frame.
